ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role prepares complete electrical estimates, including all quotations and subcontractors required for our project in Springfield, NE.
Accurately estimate labor, materials, and administrative costs for assigned projects.
Interface with designers, project managers, general foreman and others to resolve issues throughout the project.
Accurately interpret the design drawings submitted by customers or engineers.
Utilize estimating software to properly estimate projects.
Seek quotation of materials and subcontracts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) year degree in electrical construction or related field and/or equivalent estimating work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe/Bluebeam.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective problem solving skills.
Effective time management skills.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Strong computerized estimating skills using estimating software.
Five (5) years of equivalent work experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Accubid estimating software.
Experience with conceptual estimating, common code requirements, design/build estimating.
This job operates at a construction job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise, possibly requiring closed toed shoes, as well as occasional use of a hard hat and eye protection.
This position also operates in a professional construction office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
