Client Representative / Senior Client Representatives in the Group Policy Services department at Mutual of Omaha contribute to the retention of group premium income through servicing client needs. Performs a variety of complex and sensitive policyowner service functions, while ensuring efficient, effective, and high-quality customer service for the policyholders, brokers, and group office personnel. Employees in this job are required to exercise independent judgment on customer service issues. Client Representatives / Sr Client Representatives spend 60-80% of their day on the phone with policyholders, brokers, and group offices.

Essential Job Functions:
Manages phone queue of incoming calls and initiates outgoing calls for existing group policyholders, brokers and/or field offices. Efficiently uses multiple on-line resources to answer group policyholder questions relating to reporting inquiries, enrollment and billing questions, and tracking down missing implementation information all while striving for first call resolution.
Efficiently and accurately documents policyholder requests including written correspondence to the back office as well as follow-up correspondence to the policyholder.
Remains abreast of policy provisions as well as state and federal legislation.
Investigates and responds to questions and issues.
This position requires extensive or prolonged typing/keyboarding.
This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.
This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.

Seasoned knowledge of group insurance concepts and all group product lines
