U.S. Bank Project Group Manager in Omaha, Nebraska

Consumer Banking Sales and Support (CBSS) Risk Management has an opening for a Project Group Manager to manage a team of project managers focused on customer remediation events. This role will be part of the CBSS Fair and Responsible Banking and Remediation Team and will have overall responsibility for the effective execution of customer remediation activities related to large customer remediation events including those required by regulatory agencies and/or CAS as well as remediation events likely to be upwards of $100,000 or impacting upwards of 1,000 customers. Additionally, this role will help support the associated corrective action needed to address the issue triggering the customer remediation. In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership on large remediation events and corrective actions;

  • Manage a team of project managers supporting large remediation events and associated corrective action;

  • Provide project management support on key remediation events and associated corrective action;

  • Assist with root cause analysis to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken;

  • Provide analytical support to ensure project plans sufficiently identify and remediate all potentially impacted customers;

  • Ensure compliance with the Customer Remediation Policy;

  • Work closely with business line partners to ensure remediation projects are effectively tracked, reported, and executed.

As part of the CBSS Risk Management Team, the Project Group Manager will partner with assigned Business Leaders, RCA Consultants, and other RCA and Product Managers to manage and oversee the successful creation, implementation, and execution of customer remediation. The Manager will ensure the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate and will influence policies and procedures to maximize effectiveness. The Project Group Manager will be accountable for an effective partnership between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.


Basic Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 10 or more years of experience in project management and leadership activities

  • Six or more years of managerial experience

  • Expert knowledge of assigned business line or functional area

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
