Inventory Technician

This position is responsible for contributing to the mission of

CHI Health by ensuring that inventory of medical supplies and equipment is

maintained in a cost-effective manner. Position is responsible for the day to

day management of supply inventory.

FUNCTIONALACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Regulates

the inventory of the department through daily monitoring of supply items within

Materials Management and nursing units.

  1. Contacts

Procurement agents and buyer regarding discrepancies, shortages, specialty

items, stock shipment delays and adjustments.

  1. Maintains

and updates computer inventory systems and coordinates item file changes with

Materials Management Analyst.

  1. Conducts

cycle counts of inventory as required by financial best practice.

  1. Maintains

required records, reports and statistics for administrative, regulatory, and

budgetary purposes.

  1. Maintains

professional growth and development through seminar and workshops.

  1. Participate

in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.

  1. Participates

in all mandatory system training as well as required department training

sessions.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Participatesin all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory aswell as those required and provided by the department.

  2. Demonstrateswork practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety,security and infection control policies.

  3. Musthave ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse andmulti-cultural environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

One year experience in inventory management of equivocal

experience preferred .

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Must possess knowledge of logistics and distribution, medical

supplies and equipment; ability to utilize computer processing in daily

activities; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and

professional standards; good communication skills; strong change management

skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team

orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others

with dignity and respect.

Daily Schedule 12pm-830pm

Scheduled Hours per 2-week Pay Period 80

Weekends Required Occasional
