BUDGETED SALARY RANGE: $14.323 - $16.470 This range is based upon available budget funds. The selected candidate's skills, abilities, education, and experience will determine the salary offer within this posted range.

Examples of Work
Assists the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) in planning and conducting meetings, conferences, and supporting grant activities.
Initiates letter contracts, collects and maintains conference registration information, coordinates event logistics, and assists with participant reimbursement documents.
Designs, develops, and formats presentations, proposals, drafts, brochures, and documents such as newsletters, flyers, and other marketing materials in print and electronic form.
Performs record-keeping, clerical accounting work, and administrative duties including preparing, maintaining, and processing financial records, documents, warrants, and reports.
Processes and approves all documents (i.e. letter contracts, accounts payable, employee reimbursement documents) for approval and payment.
Possesses a valid driver's license, travels independently, and works in a variety of settings.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance to other NDE and outside agency staff.
Extent of Public Contact:
- This position requires extensive contact with school administrators, other educators, school board members, parents, the public, and other NDE and outside agency staff.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
PREFERRED: Understanding of the agriculture industry and Career and Technical Student Organizations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with website maintenance software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Scheduling concepts and techniques required for coordinating meetings and logistics, including lodging and transportation.
Formats used in written business communications.
English grammar, spelling, and composition needed for correspondence.
Computer software necessary to carry out job responsibilities.
Types and uses of office equipment.
Office management principles, methods, and procedures.
Established policies, procedures, practices of the Nebraska Department of Education.
Maintain the confidential nature of information.
Locate and summarize information from files and documents.
Communicate orally and in writing with agency staff and the public.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Understand, interpret, and apply rules, administrative policies, and program guidelines.
Operate office equipment necessary to perform the required duties.
